Capitola is little beach village established along the Soquel Creek in Santa Cruz County with its wharf extended out onto the Monterey Bay.
Located an hour away from San Jose and an hour and a half from San Francisco, Capitola Village is located along a quiet stretch of beach with a breathtaking views of the Monterey Bay. Home to merchants, craft galleries, boutiques and restaurants, Capitola is a lively tourist destination full of tradition and interesting history.
Host to the Begonia Festival each Labor Day weekend, it features flower-draped floats and a photographer's dream sand castle contest.
The Annual Capitola Art & Wine Festival brings in over 170 artists, 10 wineries and numerous food vendors to the Village each fall. Other visitor attractions include the Capitola Historical Museum, Capitola Wharf, and the Capitola Mall.
